Life happens and many things are out of our control.  What is in our control is how we react to those situations.  Our reactions often define the outcome of a situation – good, bad, and anywhere in between.  In this episode we talk about our reactions to challenging circumstances.  We also give a few examples of people that have had a positive and productive reaction to challenging circumstances.

A few things we talked about in this episode:

Toward the end of the episode, Sean requests that listeners leave a comment about how you face the challenges in your life. Scroll to the bottom of the episode page to leave your comment: Episode 001.

Christopher Reeve accomplished so much after his injury.  Our research came from his book Still Me, and from his Wikipedia Page and linked articles.

Jake Juip is wise beyond his years.  Check out this charismatic dude in his recent video:

  1. Kyle and Sean, thanks for sharing your thoughts, challenges and accomplishments with us, through the podcast. Keep it up!

Your message is universal – even though I don’t suffer from FA, I find your determination and resilience motivating. I’ll feed off of it when I feel like I can’t accomplish something, and want to take the easy way out (like cutting out that last climb and taking a shorter route home, while out cycling). I’ll remind myself of RAAM, and the fact that you guys accomplished the lofty goal you set out to achieve, regardless of the challenges along the way. Sometimes there may be some expletives tossed in around Kyle’s name when I am working through my own personal challenge, but it really does help to encourage me to not give up! Keep getting your message out there…

    1. Howard, you are the man! Thank you for listening and thank you for the kind words. We are happy we can encourage a little motivation. It’s a circular process, you motivate us too! Keep crankin. See you on the road!
